For Muay Thai students
Recovery & Body Guidance
Injuries are part of training. This is a physician's time on yours — what happened, how it feels, how you are training on it — and a plan to recover well: what to rest, what you can keep doing, and how to bring the load back. With a plain answer when something needs hands-on care where you are. Guidance beside your coach and your own doctor, never instead of them.
Emergency first
If you were knocked out, have a bad head knock, cannot put weight on it, think something is broken, or have numbness or weakness — do not wait for a session. Go to the nearest hospital now.A few questions about the injury, then a time. Dr. Kwon reads every request himself — nothing is charged through this site.

How it goes
From a sore spot to a plan you can train on.
- Before01
Your injury, in a few taps
Where it hurts, when it started, how much, and whether you are still training — then a few sentences on how it happened. It is what the session starts from.
- 0–10 min02
What happened
You talk me through it, and I ask what a physician asks — listening first for anything that should not be waiting for a call.
- 10–25 min03
Recovery and load
What to rest and for how long, what you can keep training, and how to bring the load back without re-injuring it. Breath and recovery practice where they help.
- After04
Written guidance
A short written summary in plain words — what to avoid and for how long — that you can show your coach if you choose to.
This is for you if
- You train Muay Thai — with 8limbs or anywhere else — and something is sore, strained, or not healing the way you expected
- You want a medically trained view on how to train around it, not just "rest it"
- You are coming back after time off and want to return without getting hurt again
What this is not
This is guidance, not treatment. I will not diagnose you or prescribe for you over a call, and it does not replace an examination. If what you describe needs imaging, a doctor's hands, or an emergency room, I will say so plainly and tell you to go — today, not after the session.
Questions
Do I have to train with 8limbs?
No. It was built with 8limbs students in mind, and anyone training Muay Thai or another combat sport can ask.
Does my gym see what I write?
No. What you write reaches me and no one else. Nothing goes back to your gym or your coach unless you take it there yourself.
Is there a fee?
No fee to request, the same as every session on this site. I confirm each request myself.
Korean or English?
Both. Say which you prefer when you ask.
Training with 8limbs? Your 8limbs email already has an account on this site, though you do not need one to ask. See the disclaimer for what guidance from this practice is and is not.
