The human, as a wave

Medicine for what we can measure.
Discipline for what we can't — yet.

MahKha is the practice and school of Dr. Kwon Yonghyun (권용현), MD — a licensed physician working at the boundary of medicine and spirit. Breathwork, energy healing, and Spirit Medicine, taught with a scientist's honesty about what is known, what is emerging, and what is not.

측정할 수 있는 것은 의학으로, 아직 측정할 수 없는 것은 수련으로.

Sand on a vibrating plate settles into geometry. Two hundred years old, endlessly repeatable, and the whole thesis in one image — invisible vibration producing visible order.

The bridge

One practitioner. Both languages of healing.

The physician

Trained in medicine

A conventional medical education, clinical practice, published work, and lectures — including on the endocannabinoid system for the Korean Cannabinoid Association. Credentials on record, in public, always.

The practice

Formed by practice

Decades of Qigong, Tai Chi, yoga, and meditation — learned as disciplines, not beliefs. Now taught from Thailand, between clinic hours, Muay Thai training, and the shelters.

The position

Honest about both

No miracles are sold here. Every claim on this site carries the level of evidence behind it, and “we don’t know yet” is said out loud. That honesty is the method, not a disclaimer on it.

The evidence contract

Every claim here carries its evidence on its sleeve.

Three levels, marked wherever a claim appears — on courses, on sessions, on every page. This is the one thing that makes the rest of it trustworthy.

Established

Established

Peer-reviewed and replicated. The autonomic effects of slow breathing, mirror neurons, the default mode network, the cortical homunculus, endocannabinoid biology. Sources cited and linked.

Emerging

Emerging

Measured, published, and unsettled. Ultraweak photon emission from human tissue, heart-rate variability and coherence, the molecular vibration of DNA. Promising is not proven, and I say which I mean.

Observation

Observation

What decades of practice and a long inheritance of traditions describe, before science has looked. Offered plainly as observation and framework — never dressed up as data.

The method

From matter to what matter becomes.

My own clinical map of how the physical and the felt connect — running from structure to thought without a gap where something mystical has to be inserted. A lens for looking, offered as observation rather than proven mechanism.

The human as a wave

Water is particle and wave. So is light. So, in every way we can currently measure, is the body — vibrating from the molecular timing of DNA base pairs to the resonance of whole organs to the faint light that living tissue actually emits. This is the thesis the rest of the method is built on, and it is a physics claim before it is a spiritual one.

The transformation cascade

My own clinical map of how the physical and the felt connect: organ and structure, then language and expression, then hormones, then neurotransmitters, then brainwaves, then emotion and thought — running from matter to non-matter without a gap where something mystical has to be inserted. It is a lens for looking, not a mechanism I have proven.

Teachings

Courses that begin with a practice, not a lecture.

ENfree

The Breath Primer

5 days · email · one practice each morning

Five short lessons, five breath practices, one each morning. The most evidence-supported door into the whole method — and where most students begin.

ENin production

Energy Healing Training

Guided meditation series · module 1 of a numbered track

The flagship track, taught as it is taught live: theory, then a guided meditation, then structured journaling on a body map, then reflection. Module one is 'Communication with Your Body' — what 'body' has meant across traditions, the body scan, and the coherence between body and reality.

EN

Ancient Breathworks

Self-paced video

Traditional breath disciplines taught with their physiology beside them. Breath is the only life-sustaining act you can consciously take hold of — which is exactly why the whole method starts there.

Accounts

No testimonials until there are real ones.

This section will hold accounts from people I have actually worked with. Until it does, it stays empty — because a persuasive quote is the easiest thing in the world to write, and the entire point of this practice is not doing the easy version.

Written consent

Nothing appears here unless the person has agreed in writing to it appearing, knowing where it will be published.

Dated and specific

Each account carries its date and which service it followed. Vague praise is worthless; specifics can be weighed.

Never presented as evidence

An account is one person's experience. It will always be labelled as that, and never dressed up as an outcome you should expect.

Giving

The practice funds more than the practice.

Part of this work supports an animal shelter, orphanages in Chiang Mai, and a refugee village in Mae Hong Son.

Thailand

Animal shelter

Ongoing support for a shelter caring for stray and injured animals — food, veterinary costs, and the unglamorous daily running of the place.

Chiang Mai

Orphanages

Support for orphanages in Chiang Mai, directed at what the staff say they actually need rather than what makes a good photograph.

Mae Hong Son

Refugee village

Support for a refugee village in Mae Hong Son province, near the western border — a community that sits largely outside the reach of formal services.

Begin

Start with the breath. It is the only door that is always open.

Five days, five practices, one each morning — free, and the clearest taste of how this work is actually taught.
